My name is Latrica Sutton. This is my seventh year teaching Math to students at Brookeland ISD, but my twelfth year in education. It is an honor to be here! Currently, I teach 8th grade Math, Algebra I, and Geometry.
Sharing my love of Math with young people is pure joy for me. I try to fit multiple learning styles and present concepts in a variety of ways.
After graduating from SFASU with a Social Work degree in 2000, I realized that my heart was with young people. I returned to complete my alternate certification in Mathematics in 2007. With the exception of a three year sabbatical, where I was the primary caretaker for a heart transplant recipient, I've enjoyed every second of teaching.
I look forward to spending this school year with your child and hope that they take away both Math concepts and valuable life lessons!
