Mon., May 4 – Fri., May 15: Teacher Classroom Organization / Textbook Collection / Preparation for Summer Cleaning

Mon., May 18 – Wed., May 20: Optional Student Academic / Athletic Locker Cleanouts (Schedules and additional information for parent / student dates / times on campus will be provided)

Mon., June 1 – Thurs. June 4: Moving Teacher Desks / Classroom Materials into Hallways for District Floor Refinishing

Mon., June 8 – Thursday, July 2: Classroom Floors Refinishing / Relocation of Pre K – 3rd Grade Teachers & Office Staff into New Building, (Pending Completion of New Facility)

Additional Events (Pending Approval of State and Local Officials due to  current Executive Order in place with COVID-19).

Tues., June 23: Kindergarten Graduation / 7:00 P.M. – New Gym

Thurs., June 25: 8th Grade Graduation / 7:00 P.M. – New Gym

Fri., June 26: High School Graduation / 7:00 P.M. – New Gym

Mon., July 6: High School and Junior High Cheer Tryouts for 2020 – 2021 Cheer Squads - New Gym (Time TBA)

Brookeland ISD Alternative Curriculum Plan

2019-2020

In order to offer an educational opportunity for all of our students the following measure are being put into place.

Discovery Education

Brain Pop

These programs will meet the educational accommodations of our special population and general education students.  Each program is self-paced and has a read aloud component.

Dyslexia Assignments will be posted on our Teacher’s Website as follows:

Grades K-1 – read a grade level book and write a detail over the material

Grades 2-5 read a grade level book and write one of the following: detail, summary, main idea.

Students in Dual Credit Classes will continue to check with Angelina College.  The Distance Learning Lab will be open from 9:00am – 12:00pm Monday – Thursday with computers available for students

Teachers will be available Monday, March 23rd – Thursday, March 26th  from 10:00am – 12:00pm to answer questions. (409) 698-2413 ext. 206

Tuesday, Feb 18: Pick-Line (2 NHS members will ask for donations in Pick up line before school)

                             Spring Basket Raffle (chances $1.00, basket displayed in office)

                             Start filling your banks for the class competition.                           

Thursday, Feb 20: PJ Day (pre-K thru 5 only) $1.00  Give your dollar to 1st period teacher

Friday, Feb 21:  Hat Day (Entire Campus) $1.00                 

Purchase your sticker in the cafeteria before school or from Ms. MacLeod

Snack Sales (last 10 minutes of each lunch period)
