For the school year 2024-25, Mrs. Groth is excited to be teaching 6th Grade Writing, and Freshman/Sophomore English for her fifth year. Mrs. Groth holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and is a certified legal mediator. She retired from Marathon Oil Company as a Senior Human Resources Consultant in 2015. Mrs. Groth has been serving the students at Brookeland ISD since 2015.
As a teacher, I believe that all students should be provided with the opportunity to learn in a positive and respectful environment. My classroom will include inclusive strategies to embrace all of my students needs. I hold myself and students to high standards while providing and fostering their individual educational goals and needs. I believe that every student has unlimited potential and my challenge is to tap into each of their strengths and develop their weaknesses.

High school students must bring their Chromebook, charger, and earbuds to class every day.
If you are absent it is your responsibility to obtain the assignment(s) and return within 3 days.
All retake work must be completed within 3 days and the highest grade possible is a 70.
